Paul Wilson
From Northumberland, England, Paul started playing golf at around 10 years old. Whilst learning the game he represented Morpeth Golf Club, Northumberland County and England Schools up to under 19 Level. Since turning Professional, Paul has been involved in local community coaching programs, corporate team building activities, beginner/advanced group coaching and junior golf.
Moving to Abu Dhabi in 2009 Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, Paul has further developed his coaching experience - completing Level 1 and Level 2 Golf Professional TPI Certification. For more information regarding TPI click here.
Johan Du Bruyn
Johan joined Saadiyat Beach Golf Club from the world renowned Pinnacle Point in October 2009. He completed a Diploma in Golf Directorship and Club Management at the Damelin School of Golf in Pretoria, South Africa. Johan has over 6 years experience in the golf industry across, the USA, South Africa, UAE and Russia.

The Academy Team
The Academy Team consists of 3 PGA Apprentices who relates "fun" to golf for Juniors. They help develop a lifelong love of the game in future generations of golfers through using the TPI Junior Golf Program. This program aims to help Juniors develop functional movement skills, and when these movements are mastered, more specific fundamental golf skills. All exercises are produced in a variety of fun games and challenges. Our Academy Team Members are:
Franco Botha
Franco started playing golf at the age of 16 and competed at a competitive level at school. After graduating from school Franco joined the Tuks Golf Academy where he started his studies in Sport Science. He has been teaching juniors for the past 3 years in South Africa before relocating to Abu Dhabi. Franco is currently a second year apprentice of the PGA of South Africa.
Tiaan Rosslee
Tiaan was born in a small town called Ficksburg in South Africa. Tiaan started playing golf at age 11 and was chosen to represent South Afica in the USA to play in the Pepsi Little Peoples Tournament where he finished 25th out of 120 players. After Tiaan graduated from school he was appointed as a pro-shop assistant at Pinnacle Point where he gained experience in golf operations, marshalling, golf directing and merchandizing. Tiaan also worked in Boca Raton, Florida at the Boca West Country Club as a pro-shop associate whereafter he relocated to Abu Dhabi to work at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club. Tiaan is a first year PGA Apprentice of the PGA of South Africa.
Peter-John (PJ) van Merch
PJ is a dynamic golfer with an approachable personality. Shortly after taking up golf, PJ joined the Ernie Els and Fancourt Foundation who provided him with professional coaching throughout his schooling years. PJ started his PGA training in Cape Town, South Africa, where Sports Psychology stimulated his interest in the socio-psychological aspects of the game of golf. PJ wants a well-rounded golfing education and are currently completing his PGA training at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club.
