Saadiyat Beach Golf Club hosted their annual Ramadan Open on Saturday 3rd September 2011. Sponsored by Radisson BLU Hotel, Abu Dhabi Yas Island, 80 golfers competed in a Pairs Betterball Stableford competition.

In breezy conditions Saadiyat Passport Holders Rolf Becker and Jan Schemeier used all their local knowledge to achieve an impressive 46 points and were crowned 2011 Ramadan Open Champions. In the on-course events Kevin Wieczorek won Nearest to the Pin on hole #3, Precision, finishing just 10 inches from the hole!

Steve Hall took the other Nearest the Pin on hole #17, Arabian Oasis. Ladies Longest Drive was won by Caroline O’Donnell and Ryan Luke claimed the Men Longest Drive on the par 5 hole #11, Players Alley with a tee shot of over 320 yards!
